Shell's Loft is run by a super small team of rebel brown girls, Shell Martinez (Owner & Creative Director) and Cass Lemaine (Loft Manager). We work as a team, managing the venue and assisting our clients to produce successful events. A pair of on-site virtuosos with a passion for building community who love using the space to connect the endlessly interesting, passionate, visionary people of Brooklyn.
Mardi Miskit of Brooklyn Fork & Spoon is our health-conscious private chef and reiki practitioner who offers catering, on-site cooking, and private reiki sessions for our clients. Her creativity comes to life when developing and conceptualizing health-supportive, mostly plant-based recipes and menus. Before joining forces with the Shell’s Loft team, she spent several years hosting an internationally recognized supper club, catering events, and cooking at Saltie in Williamsburg.
